amazon rankings
Do positive reviews help generate sales? You bet they do. After Margaret Cannon's glowing review of High Chicago was published in the Globe and Mail November 3, sales of both my books shot up Amazon.ca's Mystery and Suspense bestseller list, at one point ranking #10 and #11 respectively, just ahead of a certain Dan Brown. The fact that she mentioned Buffalo Jump's Arthur Ellis Award for best first novel--and suggested High Chicago should be shortlisted this year--undoubtedly helped.
